Be aware. We boarded our dog for a week and was told to pay upfront once I brought our dog in. They never said anything other than the "deposit" which I believe for them was the full amount, I had to run to the nearest bank to get cash as they won't accept any other type of payment. After we came back to pick up our dog, I asked for a receipt of payment and was denied as well as a copy of the contract I signed initially. I was told by both owners that they've been running the pension for over 10 years and never issued an invoice as noone dared to ask. As far as the contract, both said that it was private and only their lawyer could see it as they use it for their taxes and for record-keeping. The male owner (or I believe he is) said that the contract I signed is the proof of payment, to which I was not given a copy as proof that I paid. He said that he will go get a receipt book tomorrow (15 June 2022) and will give me a receipt since he "doesn't have any". I asked to make sure that it is official since I paid cash only. I even said that other stores running longer than them offer receipts even if customers don't take them.I will wait tomorrow for a receipt and will observe our dog for anything. THESE ARE FACTS. Our dog is alive, but I believe they are not a legitimate business for their behavior towards my requests. The lady is rude and keeps switching what "she said and did not". Patronize at your own discretions. They threatened to not release our dog since we came after "business hours" (not stated on their website). We rushed from the airport in Leipzig, got stucked in traffic for 1.5 hours, didn't stop to change or feed our infant in our attempts to make it there within "business hours". I told them it wouldn't make sense to let our dog stay overnight unpaid since they adamantly want their money upfront. BE VERY MINDFUL. This is our experience.
