I came to the cafe as they opened, I was the only customer. The employees were very nice, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was delicious!

I got an iced Vietnamese coffee and a banh mi chicken sandwich. The coffee was great and the sandwich had a good spice level. Good wake up meal!

Definitely try this place out!

Stopped by for a quick lunch, we were the only customers in the restaurant which was meh, but was hungry so ordered a bun Bo hue and banh mi. The server/cashier girl didn’t know what bun Bo hue was so had to use the English name for it when ordering. The food came out quickly and it did taste okay— soup was not as beefy as a typical dish is, I’ve had better bun Bo hue but for Anderson Mill area this was acceptable given probably not a lot of people in this area order this entree. The banh mi bread was ok but very flakey and not as sturdy as I would’ve liked. Meat and veggies were tasty. Veggie side for the bun Bo hue was small, I had to ask for additional. Overall decent lunch.

A very good Vietnamese restaurant! I just tried it; was not disappointed and can’t wait to go back. I had the pork vermicelli bowl. Very well made and fresh. Served with fish sauce and sambal on the side. Better than what I had at a more expensive place. Owner was very sweet too. Please give them a try!

This is one of my very favorite restaurants. Really good! Delicious food and run by wonderful people. They care about quality and good service, always checking to make sure you're enjoying your visit, they go the extra mile to take care of you. Spring rolls are probably my favorite thing, the shrimp is always perfectly cooked and their pho broth is addictive! Their sandwiches are huge! And their steam buns soft and fluffy. I keep trying to order something new each time I go in to work my way through the menu and haven't been disappointed yet!

Came in again today!!!! It's still so good and the staff is so sweet. Please come try this shop. Whenever the allergies are getting to you. The broth clears it up!! Fixing to be cold in the next couple of days. Perfect timing!!!

You have to try it!! Their Pho, Steamed buns, and Bahn Mi are amazing. They are always so nice and the service is great even when they are busy. They have great tea too. Today we tried the fried dumplings and they were very fresh, hot, and yummy.

I am so sorry to have to do this, but I am BAFFLED by all the happy reviews. Listen to me: this food was really, really bad.

The pork dumplings were OLD. If you know the taste of old pork, you understand; there's a gaminess and greasiness that doesn't exist any other time.

Bao buns came in bizarrely thick buns, and the pork, chicken, and tofu were all wildly overcooked.

The banh mi chicken was so overcooked it was crunchy, and the bread was so dry it fell apart upon being picked up, as if it were days old.

The egg rolls were greasy and dry and unflavored.

Even the Thai tea was lacking in flavor. I don't know how they managed that, but they did.

I am SO disappointed. We were deeply hoping for a good Vietnamese place near us, and this has left us just disgusted all around.

I fear this place of business may be suffering. I was thrilled when V cafe opened in this neighborhood years ago. They had wonderfully aromatic broths with the freshest herbs. We still dine here from time to time, but we used to eat or takeout every week. The broths don't always seem to have as much depth nor the intensely aromatic flavors I recall when they first opened, and quality has been inconsistent. The sides (herbs and vegetables) aren't always offered in full. Still pretty solid, just not quite what it was when they first opened.

This unassuming store-front Vietnamese Cafe offers a great array of dishes. I tried the pork Bao Buns and Spring Rolls. Both were excellent . The buns are soft and immaculately white. They melt into whatever filling you chose as you bite them. The pork was well- marinated and tender. Counter-ordering service was zippy. Austin has great food and V Cafe certainly deserves it's place among the city's awesome food offerings.
